I am the mother to an 11 month old child.  His father and I have split up due to his drinking and emotional problems.  Things have escalated recently and I have had to call the police due to his talk of suicide and erratic behavior.

I have been looking for work but I am sure as many of you here can't seem to find it.  If I don't come up with rent we will be evicted.  I cannot leave the state which is my only resourse.  As it looks now I need about 700.00 at least.  I was going to apply for whats called a diversion grant but do not qualify due to not working( it's kinda funny they wont give me money because i have no money)

Is there a program out there that will help me with my rent?  If I don't have a home then how will I get a job?

I am so hurt over the breakup and the cruel actions of my sons father that it is taking everything in me to put on a smile for my son.  I would be happy to make payment arrangements to anyone willing to help.

I am sorry for your situation but I found out the same deal with modestneeds.com if not working or making a little more but have to have a steady employer even part time or you can't get help.. Then you can try grantedwish.org . I applied didn't get anything and can only do that once. Now I was told by someone but haven't checked it out that they are lacking funds but can't call them as it is the weekend to make sure that is the case.

for St.VincentDePauls as someone told me they got help with rent but you  have to contact your local one. It was a person here I helped and found this place. 

Try looking for a roomate situation check on line classifieds then you will have home. 

I hate to use the word but some states have great shelters and it gives you a place to have an address...

Check out roomate situation that is what I am going to do and hope for the best...
